Because Del toro doesnt just make Fantasy films, in fact he has made more Horror films then anything else. Dont be hating the subtitles now because this film is very well made and very very sad. You dont get many horror movies with good endings but this one is very good at coming full circle. Alternates would be: Pans Labrynth, The Devils Backbone.
